Birthday Celebration and New Year's Eve Day!

We had a GREAT day, yesterday...We celebrated Hyrum's "17th" Birthday by going out to dinner, shopping for his Birthday present - more snow type clothing, and to a movie!  Hadn't gone to the "theater" for a VERY LONG TIME!   Plus, we took Caleb to "Hungry Horse Dam" located near Glacier National Park.

Hyrum turned "17"

 Top of "Hungry Horse Dam"
Caleb - Garvin - Hyrum
Yea...Garvin is dressed for "winter" in MONTANA!

Hyrum trying to chisel out an icicle

As we left "Hungry Horse Dam" - Caleb notices the FROZEN "Lion Lake" on the way out!
He wanted to go TEST the lake to see if it was "frozen" enough to "walk on water"

This is what "Lion Lake" looked like

Hyrum and Caleb standing on the "frozen" Lion Lake

Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn decided to "test" how much further
they could "venture" out on the lake

Ha! You thought I'd have pictures of them falling through the ice! (smile) Sorry, to disappoint you...
Instead, they built a SNOW MAN on the lake!

These pictures were taken on the main road to get to Glacier Park or Hungry Horse Dam.
Someone sure had fun...with these icicles...Don't YOU LOVE IT?!!

God-Inspired Government

I wrote these thoughts down this morning...pondering on many things:

Why are there so many enemies to our Constitution? Because it is a
“God-inspired GOVERNMENT” – and our enemy – the Father of Lies knows this…

It was God the Father who inspired…the Constitution of this land…and raised up WISE men for this very purpose.

79 Therefore, it is not right that any man should be in bondage one to another.
80 And for this purpose have I established the Constitution of this land, by the hands of wise men whom I raised up unto this very purpose, and redeemed the land by the shedding of blood. (D&C 101:79 - 80)

I have pondered how could such a SUCCESSFUL inspired Constitutional government unravel before our eyes??? Then, it dawned on me…When Christians of this nation..placed the “world” above its God…and less families worshipped at home together, studied the scriptures together, hence LIVING by its precepts together…God slowly slipped into the background of our lives…and so did the concepts contained in our United States Constitution …

Only a God-oriented people were going to maintained the principles held together by our Constitution. Once these principles became foreign to us…so did our God-inspired government of “We the People.”

Only when we as a nation return to our roots of Christianity – our worship of God Almighty, will we experience the “FREEDOM” that was our “God-given” Constitution was designed to PROTECT.
