Our Eclipse Experience

21 August 2017

Seems we all had our "Eclipse" experience, today...
We ended up celebrating it with old friends from Florida...
and with some new friends...that Angel introduced
us to...

Max Andrus, his wife, Kim holding son, David
Debra Woods...Ivy and Lillie
Everyone tried to get pictures of the eclipse...
on their phones, then would check to see how they turned out...
I don't believe they did get too good of pictures...

Rylin Murphy - along with his wife Ashley...
came with Angel and children...to participate
in the "big event"...They drove up from Utah...
Nathan trying out his glasses...

 Lillie watching through her classes...

 Ivy checking things out...

Max and Kim are currently living in Utah...

Nathan and Lillie...finding this all very fascinating...

 Daisy having fun...

 Max enjoying the experience...

Debra is currently living in Arizona...came up here
specifically to see a total eclipse!
They all spent the night with us...
(Deb, Max, Kim, and baby David)

 Kim is SO DELIGHTFUL!
and baby David...was so alert...curious
about everything - 3 months old

 Ethen was simply "hungry"...

Ethen wanted to share his classes with me...

Angel made homemade gracamole (fabulous - one of the
best I have ever tasted!) brought chips...and treats...
Andrus' shared a peanut butter treat...
ALL Perfect for the event!

I have to admit...this truly was quite an experience...
As it was getting to the point of "total" closure...
all of us experienced...our eyes not being able to focus...
very well...really ODD sensation...
PLUS, the TEMPERATURE...dropped enough
to bring out "goose bumps"!!!!!

It got dark enough...for our yard lights to go on
automatically...

Except for the flash...you can see slightly the horizon...

Again...the flash on the leaves of the treees...
otherwise...it got quite dark...

It began to unfold...there was a slight "red" hue
on the right side of the sun...(or reflected off the
moon) has the sun began to reappear...

Everything began to light up, again...

 LOVED this picture!

It, also, happened to be Debra's birthday
(same day that President Monson celebrated his
90th birthday - smile)
Kim and Max had made her a cake...
and we celebrated! smile
