Mother's Day and Father's Day Celebrations

Seems...Mother's Day and Father's Day

celebrations always seems to bring on moments of

pondering on our years of

parenting...what we did right...

and what we wish we might have done differently...

Yet, seeing how our children are all, but, one...

now raising up families of their own...

I can only, now, PRAY, each of our children...

will enjoy their season...of parenting...

like we enjoyed our incredible children

we had the privilege of raising...

Beginning with our oldest...

Father's Day - Day of Celebration on "Two Fronts"

Feeling Better...!

How do we know?

He was making Hyrum laugh during Church

today...expressing a number of "Garvinisms"...

 

His ability to speak, today, was the strongest we have

seen in WEEKS! Plus, he ate everything

that was set out...and THEN SOME!

What was really nice...he talked to ALL of our children...

plus we had several over for dinner...

celebrating Father's Day...and our son-in-law's,

Luke Heiner,

BELATED BIRTHDAY!

Now, to simply enjoy some pictures I took to 

remember this day by...

 Heading for church...We managed to stay 

the entire set of meetings...bringing along his

oxygen tank...Will be interesting next Sunday...

for we both will be speaking in Sacrament meeting...

and Garvin will need to speak...while hooked to his oxygen tank...

Can't remember what Claira was saying...

but, it certainly cracked up

GREAT Father's Day!

Our Blessed Little "Elves"

One of the more fun "children" stories... is the 

"Elves and the Shoemaker"...

LOVE this little story!

 Well, I want you to know...Garvin and I have some very 

special little "elves", also, in our lives...

My daughter, Sarah, brought over her " 6 little elves" - 2 days in a row...

to help Granny get some work done OUTSIDE...

OH...my goodness, I can not begin to tell you how much it meant to me.

There is MUCH WORK to get done outside...but,

with all the "side adventures" that has been

happening in our lives...well, I haven't been

attending to too much of my work on the OUTSIDE of our home...

Here are samplings of the efforts that were made:

"DAY ONE"

 Sometimes it takes "two" to unload a few rocks...

So happy to be part of the crew...

Sarah - our very own "Little Elf"...What can I say...

Many a time...when she was living at home (years ago)...

she, either, alone,

or with one of her siblings...

would stay up AFTER

we had gone to bed...

and cleaned up our home...(and that was NO SMALL JOB)

She continues...to display...these wonderful traits...

even...now...still watching our backs...

(well...saving our backs, now...smile)
