HOLLADAYS, RICHINS, and SMITHS mini Reunion...

There is nothing like FAMILY...especially with those we have
come to KNOW as FAMILY in a REAL eternal sense...
Living in FLORIDA...brought us close to several families...
The HOLLADAYS and the RICHIN family...
We have all stayed very close......

Seth Holladay had earned his PH'D at BYU-Provo...
Angel thought it would be fun to have a Bar-B-Q to celebrate...
(love how Angel is carrying on a family tradition...
celebrating events around FOOD!) smile
It was so WONDERFUL to be with some of our beloved "Florida Family"...
only...meeting in Provo, Utah...(smile)

Jared marinated the chicken...his own specialty...
Then, Bar-B-Q'd on his grill! GREAT! LOVED IT!

Lillie is all cuddled up to "Grandpa" Brent!

Seth Holladay and a couple of his children...Sarah "Richins" Elliott with one of her sons...
and David Holladay with one of his children...

New Roof and Mother's Day

I thought you would like to see the new roof we just
had done to our home...plus
my Mother's Day gifts!

The old "shakes"

 Everything stripped off...

FINISHED PROJECT!

MOTHER'S DAY GIFTS

 Card Garvin gave me...
Inside the card it said:
"When God closes a door,
somewhere He opens a window"
smile

DISH TOWEL - With Annie's help
The card said:
"This isn't just a butterfly as you can plainly see.
I made it with my feet, which are a part of me.
It comes with lots of love especially to say,
I hope you have a very happy
Grandmother's Day!"
LOVE IT!

Flowers Garvin gave me...
The card on the left has my FAVORITE FLOWER...
"Cosmos" which I dubbed my "Happy Flower"!
The card on the right...is a beautiful
card from Garvin as well...

I LOVED TALKING to EVERYONE ON "ooVoo"!
(including Hyrum!)
smile
MADE MY DAY talking with EACH OF YOU!
including ALL the GRANDCHILDREN!
LOVE EACH OF YOU VERY MUCH!

Our Relief Society Retreat - Spectacular Views

There are times when I have asked how in the world
Garvin and I had the PRIVILEGE of living here
in the Flathead Lake area of Montana!
It is breath-takingly GORGEOUS!

This past weekend...I had the wonderful opportunity to attend
our STAKE Relief Society RETREAT...held just off
the INCREDIBLE Flathead Lake...
It was a time of FUN...FOOD...SISTERHOOD...and
UPLIFTING events!

I didn't take alot of pictures...but, some of the ones I did take...
will melt your heart... if you LOVE NATURE!

I wish I had taken a picture of the FRONT of the lodge...
but, this will have to do...
We went to "Glacier Camp" settled on
the Flathead Lake...

These were some of the views from different sections
of the camp...Flathead Lake is INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL!

These were my "roomies"...
We shared "Log 1" - cabins away from the "lodge" itself...
Susan Robison (middle) and Grace Guest
Poor Grace slept in the bunk between Susan and I...
Susan and I have EXTREME OPPOSITE SLEEPING patterns...
One is a NIGHT OWL and the other "An EARLY BIRD"...
(smile)

One of the things we did was a "Scavenger Hunt"
Grace (top picture) read us one clue...
Susan (middle picture) Read the next clue...
and Deb Oftedahl was entertained by a swing...
along the way...of us finding all our clues... (smile)

After our "Scavenger Hunt" - Grace, Susan, and I took a little hike...
I didn't get to take too many pictures...Had to make sure
I could keep up with my "in shape" companions!
smile

These pictures, I believe, I took before sun down...
They had a "cross" memorial area...

However, I saved my favorite
pictures for LAST...
I took these when most people
were still in bed...around
5:30 in the morning...
I was awe-struck by the
magnificient BEAUTY
of the morning!

We had a GREAT GREAT TIME!
I once again...was so MINDFUL...of how BLESSED
I have been to have come to the knowledge
of the "restored" kingdom...here
upon the EARTH!

My Trip to Sacramento and Reunion

What an incredible few months...
From Missouri, to Utah, and then...to CALIFORNIA!
Back home in Montana...and soon will leave
once, again...to Utah...to welcome a NEW GRANDSON!
(smile)

My brother, Steve, had planned on seeing my dad the first week in MAY...I have felt
impressed that I needed to see my dad and decided the best time
was when my brother and my sister-in-law were planning
on being in Sacramento...INSPIRED CHOICE...

On top of this...I had the JOY of seeing High School friends...
that I have NOT seen...for nearly 40 years...
A few of them...I saw just BEFORE your dad and I were married...
the week I returned home from my mission.
(will show pictures AFTER the family ones)

On SATURDAY, May 4th, we had a "mini" family reunion...
Steve, Jerilyn, Rob (Mandy's husband), Mandy (my niece)
and her family came over...Rob and Mandy have
"4" children - Kaitlyn, Bobby, Wyatt, and Garrett

My brother, Steve, with his wife, Jerilyn

My niece, Mandy holding her son, Garrett, who LOVES my dad and his glasses...(smile)

I LOVED taking pictures of Garrett!
Isn't he CUTE!!!!!
(smile)

I LOVED watching Garrett and my brother interact
with one another!

Wyatt was sound asleep when they arrived...
Mandy and Garrett...
LOVE THESE TWO!

NOW, for a few pictures taken at the MINI
High School gathering for lunch
in Sacramento...

(L to R) Gerhard Serfling, Steve Ives, Me, and Loren Barnes
We were all dear friends in High School...

We all had lunch for a couple of hours together!
OH...SO VERY FUN!

Ted White brought our "4th Grade" Elementary School picture...
We had a great laugh over that one!
I would have shown you the picture...but I have already
packed it up...You would have a great chuckle
over it as well...smile

Jerry McCall joined us for this picture...
We had a memorable conversation...and I will be
ever so grateful to Jerry...for coming to this reunion luncheon...
