Montana - Part 4 - Saying our "Goodbyes"...

22 August 2015
Saturday
"Whitefish Train Station"

Abe and Annie's schedule to leave on the train...was 7:46 a.m.
They needed to leave the Egley home around 6:00 a.m.
As it turned out, due to all the fires in the mountains
of Montana...their train was delayed...another hour...

Just arrived at the train station...
Grammy Bunny...Maddy (green jacket) Kenzie
Annie's sister - Stephanie - holding James

L to R: Kenzie and Maddy

L to R: Maddy, Jacob, Stephanie, Bunny, Annie's back

She did NOT want to go...

 This picture...touched my heart...
Kenzie so wanted to stay...
simply resigned she must go...

A bit of a brave smile...

 Larry - Garvin - Abe
in more conversation...waiting for the
delayed train...

It was announced...the train would be arriving...

However, it was the "freight" train...
that pulled in...FREIGHT CARGO had TOP PRIORITY...
PASSENGER TRAINS...had to WAIT...
FREIGHT companies OWNED the tracks...
therefore...the concern was...if their PASSENGER TRAIN was going
to be allowed to come through...BEFORE they
shut down the TRACKS at 10:00 a.m.
due to the FIRE hazards...

Came back into the station...it was QUITE CRISP outside...
Annie, Jacob, Bunny, the girls, and Stephanie

Stuck this in here...so you would know...
I was actually there for all the FUN!
smile

Abe and Mama
Kenzie needing to be with her Daddy...

A BIT of HISTORY
WHITEFISH, MONTANA

This really is a really nice train station...
I would love to take a train ride sometime...
However, there are NO passenger lines
into Idaho...

 Entertaining ourselves while we wait...

Few more moments with her Mama...

 Grandpa Larry keeping Maddy warm...

 James KNOWS what he wants...
his Daddy!
smile

Sweet picture of Maddy with her Grandpa Larry

 Their train made it through!
YEAH!

 All ABOARD!

Beautiful "Old Glory"
