Celebrating Abraham's "22nd" Birthday - EARLY

Nathan ENJOYING his first "stuffed egg"

For Family Home Evening...we celebrated Abe's "22nd" birthday...since he has "other plans" WEDNESDAY night of his birthday......We had a small gathering...Angel, Jared, and Nathan; Hyrum; 2 of the Single Ward Missionary Elders; Garvin; Abraham - the man himself, and me...After hearing the "singing" of Happy Birthday....it is self-evident...this is why the "SMITH" family never sang in the WARD CHOIR! (smile)

Joels master pieces!
Here we are!!!
HELLO!!!!
Punkins (Alisha) at the Lights too!
Here at the Spanish Fork Festival of Lights

"Lets go in and talk about all the good things I did this year and not the bad and maybe we can negotiate...." so Joel says to Santa after finding out he was put on the "naughty list."

I'm dreaming of a white christmas.....

Here...Comes...Santa Claus......

"LET ME GO!!!"

Double Christmas Stocking Stuffers...

"I saw Mama kissing Santa Claus...."

Children lined up to see "Santa"

"Couldn't decide"...

"Santa"

Even "Santa" believes in "Preaching The Gospel"

For TWO YEARS in a row, "SANTA" visited the WINTER PARK WARD...My abosolute FAVORITE was a little girl who BEAMED when she sat on Santa's knee!!! Her name was BROOKE and her SMILE LITERALLY lit up the room, even thought BOTH of her two front teeth were missing....Santa keep talking to her...but, she just kept GRINNING...It turned out the child was DEAF...but, she was PURE SUNSHINE!!! As Santa got up to leave, she RAN UP TO HIM...and GRABBED onto his LEG...and continued to give him this GREAT BIG SMILE!!! I so wished I had caught all that on camera!!! She was the HIGHLIGHT of the evening!!!

Project Homeless - December 5th - in Orlando

Our "serving" crew - A shepherd would help them get their meals - but the "shepherds" only
got to have LUNCH...no breakfast...

Shepherds in RED shirts (volunteers - had over 40 missionaries doing that for nearly a 1,000 people) ALL volunteers wore RED shirts...(we fed the police, also)

Cook them onions....(smile)

Had to cut tomatoes for the hamburgers at LUNCH time..
Jim McFadzean and Hyrum

Garvin and Bob hasseling over the eggs (smile)

Hyrum and Abe still working on the grill

LOTS OF PREP WORK - Onion cut up for breakfast and lunch

Jon Evans and Lynn Whitcomb helping to set up the drinks

Getting the sausage done first

Our 2nd year in participating in "Project Homeless"...It is quite an event...Volunteers from all different groups to help with hardships and homelessness...There are doctors: people to help give out ID's; find Birth certificates; portable showers; clothing; job placements; etc. The Church provided all the food from the Bishop Storehouse and what we couldn't get provided from the Bishop Storehouse, the STAKE paid for the things we had to get from Sam's Club. Lynn Whitcomb is the "Public Affairs" representative for Seminole County became involved in this project...We were asked to "cook" both BREAKFAST AND LUNCH...Last year, we only did BREAKFAST...To say the least, how GRATEFUL I am..."but by the grace of God...there go I"...that we have been blessed with opportunities that provide us...with a roof over our heads, food on the table, and clothes on our backs....Something we should never take forgranted...I am posting a few pictures from the event...We feed a few hundred for BREAKFAST and later DOUBLED that for lunch...because we feed the VOLUNTEERS LUNCH, as well....We got there around 5:30 in the MORNING...and didn't leave till after 4:00 p.m.
