Spokane and Baby Ivy...

What a WONDERFUL weekend!
Garvin, Hyrum, Jessica, and I drove to Spokane on
Thursday...(8 hour drive)...to participate
in our newest granddaughter's blessing...

Meet Ivy Lenore Day

We drove down on Thursday...and drove home all night
Sunday...leaving Spokane after church and
a wonderful dinner provided by Jared and Angel...
Garvin and I got to bed this morning
at 3:30 a.m. (so worth it!)

Today, I will post all pictures PRIOR to Sunday's
blessing...I hope to get all Sunday's pictures
done...later today or tomorrow...

Jessica...is handling this family quite in her stride...
So happy to know "brother-in-laws"...do connect
'harmoniously"...smile

Ivy...just staring at Uncle Hyrum...
Wonder why? smile

 Meet the "ENTERTAINMENT"
of the family...
DAISY "MAE" (I love calling her that)
(Patricia - is her "legal" middle name - smile)

Daisy eating one of the "Egg/Muffins"
that Angel made for our breakfast...YUM!

 Daisy's expressions are a HOOT!

Daisy and Ben (Joslyn) need to meet...
Not certain who would keep us
busier...smile

 Capturing...another...
"Daddy/Daughter moment"

Nathan - missing teeth - Totally
pure "7 years old"
I would love to submit Nathan to the
"Guinness Book of Records"...
"Ability to 'TALK' - NON-STOP"
smile

Hyrum reading a story to Lillie
Early morning...

Hmmm...Was it Hyrum's reading or was
Jessica just a bit tired? smile

Nathan has become a GREAT little reader...
I believe he is reading the story to Lillie and Jessica
this time...

 Jared and Angel

 Caught Daisy "eating"
this "sand"...
Yeah...busy girl...

"Nap Time"
Very sweet moment...
Baby Ivy and Papa

 The DIFFERENCE
between Male and Female...

Notice "Angel's reaction and notice...Garvin's reaction"
Watching..."car crash videos"...
Yeah...this picture says it all...

Later...Sunday's pictures...
Ivy's Blessing Day...

Stopped in Vegas to See....

Garvin and I had the opportunity to stop
in Las Vegas to see
Jeff...
after leaving Arizona...

We picked him up and took him out to
breakfast...to celebrate his birthday
which will be December 5th...

He is doing well...He has been working out...
Took off 20 lbs. so far...and is working on
his AA degree in Accounting...

Thanksgiving in Arizona...

It is times such as this...that I sometimes wonder
why our families all live so far apart from
each other...I know...in my heart, that
there is a divine purpose...but, the HOLIDAYS, especially...
makes me realize what a sacrifice it truly has been...

However, I am so grateful we were able to at least
spend some time with ONE of our children's
families...Dave and Jenny...in
VERY WARM Arizona!
smile

These are the remaining pictures I had from our
trip...So glad for cameras that help
capture all the little moments...
to help maintain the memories...

Had fun in the Park

Rachel was not keen on the "snow"
activity...

 Rachel LOVED making pictures...
especially drawing "flowers"
and "insects"

Dave is NOT a TURKEY man...
so we had an INCREDIBLY delicious
HAM! REALLY was GOOD!

Ha..Ha...Garvin brought an older "sour dough"bread
from home...seems it was a BIT HARD!
Jenny was attesting to it!
smile

 Jenny made her FANTASTIC
"Olive Garden" DRESSING!
LOVE IT!

 Mama and baby girl...
Don't you just love Eden's darling little "smile"?

 LOVE Eden's darling little face...

 DESSERT: Chocolate CAKE...and HOMEMADE
Chocolate ICE CREAM!
(LOVE HOMEMADE ICECREAM!)

Such a CUTE picture of Sammy!

Only picture I had of Garvin and Jenny together!
So, her SASSINESS is being published!
smile

 Rachel LOVED riding the pony...

 Sammy did, too!

 Another cute picture of Rachel...

I could take pictures of this little one...all day long!

 Got to decorate for CHRISTMAS!

We all went out to dinner at our "traditional"
"Golden Corral" - Marj and Forrest always so
generously take us all out!
Forrest is now, 86 years old...
Marj is 82 years old...
and they are doing incredibly well!
Forrest is still receiving his chemo for his returned
cancer...but, has a very positive attitude!

 Beautiful Rachel...

LOVE this picture of Rachel and Sammy!

Busy Ben's World...

I believe I have some of the most "entertaining"
grandchildren on this planet...

Meet one of them...
"Busy Ben"!

He is QUITE THE CHARACTER...
I just had to single out his pictures...
A teeny tiny idea...of what his
little world is like...

He was LOVING licking the frosting...

FUN AT THE PARK!

Ben was EVERYWHERE...just didn't get it all captured!

 Ben was such a kick...
When Rachel wasn't looking or nearby...
he would manage to put HIS mark on her
drawings...

 Sammy...and Ben enjoying our
"Thanksgiving" dinner...

 Ben was often "vocal"...
VERY VOCAL!
smile

Ben cracked us up...as he would only
wear his sunglasses...UPSIDE DOWN!

 LET IT SNOW!

Ah...in Arizona?
Nope...but, we had gone to
Glendale community LIGHTS event...where one of the children's
activities...was SNOW brought in...

Ben just wasn't too sure he liked it!

 Rachel and Ben...didn't like having
snowballs thrown at them...

 Ben's experience with SNOW...
definitely had to be on HIS TERMS!
smile

 Yeah...not a happy camper here...

 But, his sadness...never lasted long...
smile

Ben and his PONY RIDE!

 He LOVED his ride!

Wish I had gotten more pictures of Ben...
in ALL of his activities...
TRUST ME...when I say...
this is ONE "BUSY Little Man"
smile

Our Visit with my 85 Year Old Dad...

One week ago, Garvin and I left for
California to visit my Dad...
He is doing pretty well...
In Good spirits...overall...

Considering...I didn't get much sleep, between helping
my dad getting back into bed during the night...
and Garvin not able to sleep in bed...waking me up on and off
during the night...
due to his congestion...
well...for 5:00 in the morning...
getting ready to leave for Arizona...
thought I looked a bit "perky"
in spite of lack of sleep for 2 1/2 days...
smile
