Pregnancy Update!

This is me, imitating Annie as she walks and pushes the stroller! Oh, and this was taken yesterday at the zoo with Sarah's kids.

As you can see, Annie looks soo much better pregnant than I do! That is Annie at 29 weeks, so the picture is two weeks old by now. We normally take a picure every 4 weeks but since her 28th week was the 4th of July weekend, we just didn't get around to it with everyone visiting. I could have waited until next week when we take the picture, but then I would have forgotten to say anything at all!

Plus we had a Doctors appointment this past Monday. The babies are healthy and strong. Both are weighing in at around 3 lbs 10 oz (60th percentile for just 1 baby). Baby A (Madison) is currently breach and kicking Annie in the pelvic bone. Baby B (McKenzie) is how she should be and kicking Annie in the ribs now. The Doctor told Annie that if Baby A (Madison) doesn't turn around by the time she is due/in labor, then he will do a c-section.

Since we are now at 31 weeks, Annie has 6 more weeks until her due date, and 7 more weeks max that the Doctor will let her continue to carry the twins. Since there are no complications so far the Doc. said that he will continue to just let Annie carry on and has no plans for inducing her unless she makes it to her 38th week.

Oh, and if you didn't realize, we finally decided to stick with Madison and McKenzie (and not Elizabeth/McKenzie) because we thought it would be cool to do the M&M twin thing.

Family Vacation - Part 3 - Conclusion

Growing up with my dad, nothing was ever what it really was.

Sawdust was gold. Pipe scraps were rings. Waves on the beach were "bones crushers".  Or whatever would come to his mind in the moment. I can't tell how many of our dinners were some sort of "guts".

Do you believe in Leprechauns?

I'm pretty sure that my kids do now.

Upon discovering a nice, thick patch of clover, my dad hid a box in it. Saturday morning, he casually took my kids out to see the "Leprechaun patch".

But wait, what is that? Do you see that?

 

It's a... It's a... box!!

Whoops, the bottom fell out of because of the rain.

 But wait... what is that in the clover??

They're the Leprechaun's treasure keys!

Quick, hide them before the Leprechaun's come back and find their keys are gone!

And so for the rest of the day, my kids played and fought and hid and stole the keys from each other.

And Claira just laughed at them all.

Where did he get all these keys, you ask? Let's just say my dad has a tendency to collect odd things.

And now, I have keys scattered all over my house. I find them everywhere in everything.

I think that was secretly my dad's evil plan.

As was putting my hubby to work. But that's okay, hubby liked it, I know he did.

*sigh* He's just so sexy with a tool in his hand.

Later that evening, the big boys went out to play. Seriously, boys and their toys, what can you do.

Alayna wasn't quite sure what to make of all the racket though.

But she did rather enjoy the ear plugs.

I too, took a turn. Five wasted bullets later, I handed the gun back, not having hit a single target.

Wow, it was bad.

I'm almost embarrassed.


After church the next day, we loaded up and headed back home.

We had such fun on our little family vacation, and my parents were so great to play with us and keep us entertained. I'm so very glad we were able to go!

 

Even if my house is now infested with Leprechaun treasure keys.

Wait.... does this mean I can blame all the messes on the Leprechauns? After all, they're just trying to find their keys!

Where Families Become "Forever"

Austin, who was sealed to his parents, today,

is the one being held by his brothers...

On July 15th, your dad and I went to the Cardston Alberta Canada temple.  We went there to witness the sealing of a child to his adopted parents, Anthony and Amy Robinson. His other 6 brothers were in attendance to witness the sealing as well...It was a very heart-warming event to see...and the sealer...taught some things that SUNK VERY DEEP into my heart...Will share later to each of you...I KNOW the IMPORTANCE of LIVING UP to OUR SEALING...and what it means to each of YOU...VERY POWERFUL!


When we did several ordinances years ago...somehow...these slipped by...Caleb brought it to my attention not too long ago...so, we got to get them done...yesterday...

When we sealed "Boss" (Anna) to Frederick...it was emotional moment for both of us...since we both could picture her...She was a darling woman, filled with great humor...

When we sealed Jens to Ane Kirstine...I pictured my grandmother, Dorothy Jensen Peterson in my mind...I thought of her deep love for her parents, especially her mother, who died so young...leaving my grandmother as a young girl...What a REUNION...It was a very TENDER moment for me...

Charles Heisen and Adelheid...Having just visited their grave site in the past year...and memories of my grandfather, Wallace Heisen...I felt the ties I had to this family...I am still working on FINDING WHERE in GERMANY Charles and Adelheid have come from...ONE DAY...that information...will come...by divine intervention...I have a deep TESTIMONY OF THIS WORK...to EVER DOUBT!

The saving SEALING ordinance work was done for the following:

1. Frederick William Smith and Anna May Gilbreth - Garvin's grandparent
2. Charles Heisen and Adelheid Schloen - my great-great grandparents
3. Jens Peter Jensen and Ane Kirstine Pedersen - my great grandparents

Ode to Fran & Rick

Today was Hannah's Wedding Reception here in Orem.... I went to wish Hannah "best wishes" but mostly to see 2 people that I just love. For those who don't know Rick and his first wife Joanne adopted me as one of their own, and I adopted them as my second parents. When Joanne past away I didn't think there was ANYBODY who could replace her. When Rick started dating Fran I was angry and hurt regardless of the fact that Rick and Fran were meant to be together due to some powerful spiritual experiences...I didn't care, I didn't want it.
I remember Fran & Rick came to me sometime later before they got married and expressed their concern about my anger about it all. I remember Fran expressing to me that he wasn't there to replace Joanne and that they loved me. Since that day Fran has taken a place right next to Joanne in my heart and they mean the WORLD to me.
Rick was there for every major event in my life, my baptism, receiving my patriarchal blessing, my mission call, my endowment, my marriage/sealing, and my firstborn's blessing.
THEY are part of my adopted family, they are the extended family I never had. They mean everything to me...

Its the Greenways!

So, the Greenway family traveled far and wide to meet with the family of Joel for a week of craziness...Here are some of the highlights of our trip!
Our first day there we went a giant carnival/theme park called Knobles! We had lots of fun.
After we cleaned up and went to go see Joels "Black mama"and show off Logan!

We then go camping and we stayed in an RV with AC while everyone else stayed in tents in the hot humidity... since we had Logan they didn't want him in the heat! SWEET DEAL!

we went on a hike and saw the beautiful sights and ugly bugs...
and Logan was almost content...


But it wasnt till we were home and ate LOTS of food that Logan....
Felt like a KING!!!

And we could go home...
we also did a service project but I didn't get any pictures...

In the Month of May - NEW BABIES for the SMITH FAMILY

May was a month for NEW BABIES in our family...Claira Faith HEINER...Born on May 19th..."Pepper" was born on May 20th...and "Salt" was born on May 22nd...

I know...why would we lump our granddaughter with 

2 new calves?

Cause, they end up becoming "family", also...

To watch Garvin with his new "babies" and you would know what I mean...

He "spoils" them BIG TIME!

pasture...They had to be "bribed" with "grain"
