Alexander William Smith
24 September 2016
What began on Friday night...23 September...8:00 p.m.
...new life... immerged about 20 hours later...
Saturday...around 6:00 p.m.
Jessica...entered Madison Memorial Hospital in Rexburg, Idaho...to begin
a low key "inducement" around 8:00 p.m. Her mom, Ramona, along
with Hyrum...accompanied Jessica...
I didn't arrive till 1:00 Saturday morning...when Hyrum texted
me that Jessica's contractions...were 3-5 minutes apart...
Little did any of us know...Alexander...would not be
arriving for another 17 hours...
Will now show...the adventure...in pictures...
LOTS of ENCOURAGEMENT GIVEN
Hyrum
Soon-to-become...Grandma Ramona
What couldn't have been a more appropriate
"Marathon" theme...
"Star Wars"
all day on SATURDAY...on T.V.
Hyrum was even wearing his "Star Wars"
tee shirt...throughout the day...
Made it through Episode 3...
smile
Very little sleep...periodically...
a little cat nap here and there...
Ah...yes....Episode II...began...
Waiting with EXCITED ANTICIPATION...
Soon-to-Be Grandma Ramona...and Granny Smith
Ramona...having FUN moments...
By this time...we were all a bit...rummy...from
lack of sleep...smile
John had arrived - can't remember "when" now...
Garvin arrived after 4 o'clock in the AFTERNOON
and of course...he had to ADD
to the Nurse's CHART...
"Goals" circled - "Celestial Kingdom"
Dad's Name: "Rumbo the Magnificent"
Pain Scale: "11"
Garvin always "engaged" in conversation...
Ironically, Jessica was "laboring" at the time
"Padme" was giving birth to her "twins"...
We turned the T.V. off...when Padme died...
Alexander had just arrived...
BECAME a FAMILY of "3"
My favorite moment...
Hyrum...with tears running down his face...
an emotional reality...
When your daughter...becomes...a little Mama...
The guiding hand...of a "Father"...
"Daddy" and "Son"
LOVE this picture!
Our tired little Mama
Been a LONG...journey...these past "9" months...
"3" generations...
Beautiful new Mama...
Nothing like witnessing the birth of a child...
not just any child...one's own...
posterity...Ramona and I had the privilege...
The men in Alexander's life...
Will ALWAYS be...
"Daddy's Little Girl"
First time "Grandfather"...
John...
First time..."Uncle"
John Henry
There is NOTHING LIKE...
holding a NEW BORN CHILD!
Love this picture!
NEW TITLES - NEW ROLES:
Grandpa and Grandma!
"Uncle" John Henry
"Granny" Smith
"Papa" Smith
Couple HOURS later...
time to move from "Delivery" Room...
to "New Mother/Baby" room...before going
home...
Been a LONG JOURNEY!
Good Night!
