My Utah Trip and Lillie's Progress

You never know what is around the corner...

This past week was no exception.

Angel was in emergency for 12 hours or more...the day BEFORE...

Lillie goes into the hospital for emergency EYE surgeries..."2" within 12 hours.

Lillie ended up with a bacteria that formed in her eye and began to 

EAT AWAY at the BONE of her eye socket...The doctor had to cut 

away the bone each time...So far, she has NOT required 

"reconstructive surgery"...though, they are still watching... to make sure

she is having no problems with the use of her eye and that 

it stays in place.

THE MIRACLE of this entire experience is that the doctor who performed the surgery

was NOT scheduled to be on duty that day...However, during his "50" mile jogging RUN...on the "26th"

mile...he got a text from someone whose son had nearly taken off his eye lid and was asked

if he would come and perform the surgery...Of course, he did.

After this surgery of the boy, the doctor found out about a child who was in the hospital

with a serious infection in her eye...but, no one knew what to do with it...

Those on call had planned on giving her anti-biotics for 2 - 5 days and see what

would work to reduce the swelling in her eye.

 Dr. Cook took one look at her cat-scan and KNEW she had to have

IMMEDIATE SURGERY...

...After the first surgery, he told Jared and Angel that there would be a 

10% chance that he would need to go into surgery again...

By, 11:30 that night, he said that the bacteria was so aggressive that he

needed to perform another surgery on her...Again, removing MORE infective BONE... 

If Dr. Cook had NOT COME...into the hospital when he did...chances the

bacteria would have gone to her brain...and the damage immense.

How do we know this? Cause the doctor who performed this surgery...HIS SON

when he was young...had a similar situation...and it did GO TO HIS BRAIN...

Fortunately, the rest of the story...of his son...HE LIVED...another

MIRACLE in the making...
