3rd of July 2014 - Going Back in Time...

These were so fun...to look at, again...
These were taken on the 3rd of July of this year...
Rebekah, Logan, and Jane were visiting from Virginia...
Abe and Annie came up with the children from Utah...
just before moving to Ohio...
Abe came up to help Garvin cook on the
"Holy Griddle" - 4th of July
for our 2 Wards (including ours)
Will post those later...

For another trip down
"Memory Lane"
smile

 Rebekah's little helpers...Maddy and Jane...
Making us all a "treat"...
smile

 Annie and Garvin in discussion

Ha..Ha...Bekah cracked me up...
Separating the "spinach" pasta from the other
"veggie" pasta...I, now, have lots of
"green" pasta to eat...smile

 Father and Son...One day, Abe...
James will make lots of faces in his
pictures, too! smile

COLORING TIME

I got a kick out of our future "artists"

They got along so well!
Little cousins...Got to LOVE IT!

MEAL TIME!
I believe...Logan...
was the "entertainer" during
this meal...smile

I will start with the TOP picture:
L to R: Alayna (her back to us) McKenzie,
James, Madison, Claira, and Logan
"3" families - Cousins getting to know each other!
Jane was in the "highchair"

We always had lots of food...
and plenty of cooks...
GREAT STUFF!

BATH TIME!
Someday...these little "cousins"
will have a laugh over these
pictures! smile

Going Back...and Finding Pictures...

I discovered there are lots of pictures I have not
posted from past events...

So, I went back to 1 July 2014...
Rebekah and her "2" children were visiting us from Virginia.

Here are a few cute pictures of
Logan and Jane...

All one needs to "entertain" little ones...
bring out a hose, turn on water, something to
get into...and you have happy little children...
smile

Meet the "Smiths" and Ivy's Blessing Day

For many of you...in our family...
have not had the privilege of meeting your Aunts and Uncles...
One of the few sad commentaries of us living on
one side of the states while, your grandparents and Uncles/Aunts
lived at...EXTREME opposite
ends of this country.

Well, things are beginning to change...There are POSITIVES in our
moving back West...one of them...is pulling our families back
together...Like 4th of July... many of you got to meet
Mandy, your cousin, and her family.

Yesterday, Hyrum got to meet his Uncle Greg and Aunt Liz
for the first time in his life...Angel and Jared made
their acquaintances a few years ago...and have since,
stayed in touch...

What a GREAT time we had...! We celebrated Ivy's
blessing day...and Greg and Liz willingly
agreed to share the experience with our family...
SO SO FUN!

MEET THE SMITHS

 Greg holding baby Ivy...

Love how "Aunt Liz" and "Uncle Greg"
loved up Ivy...smile

I do believe...Ivy is taken by her Uncle Greg...
Actually...her "Great Uncle Greg"

Church didn't start till 1:00 pm.
so, we had about an hour or so to
chat...

Daisy kept going back and forth between
Greg and Jessica...

Funny...how little children love trying on
SUN GLASSES...

Daisy discovers a "soul mate"

I love this last picture of Jessica and Daisy...

Nathan is a very "imaginative" little boy...
From Aunt Liz's reaction...she got a
kick out of Nathan's thoughts...

Some TERRIFIC pictures
captured...of the children...

 Very pretty picture of Lillie

Love this picture of Lillie and Nathan...

 So CUTE!

BROTHERLY Moment

Greg was gracious...to let Garvin feel
"taller" than his "taller" brother...smile

 Something about this picture...that
I really like...

Sister-in-law
Moments

 I had a wonderful time...with Liz...
You would ALL LOVE your Aunt Liz!

 Hyrum sneaking an "olive"...
These were taken after church...cutting up all the
veggies for our dinner...GREAT MEAL, Angel!
LOVED IT!

There is a great story...behind this couple...
Christy and Andrew Borders...
Christy and Andrew lived a very short period of time
in our Kalispell Ward...in Montana...
They lived there during the time Garvin and I
lived there...When Angel found out they were moving to
Spokane and was desperate to find housing...
I spotted a post on FB from Christy...mentioning the fact
they were now living in SPOKANE!
Long story short, Christy opened up their home to Angel
and the children, while Angel went to look for a place
to live...They became friends...
SO GREAT to see them, again...and to
marvel over the incredible achievement that Christy recently
concluded...She lost "60" pounds...PLUS, I got to meet
their "2" darling daughters...

 Christy and Andrew Borders
"small world in the church"

 More wonderful conversation...

 Brotherly-in-law...huh....
love...smile

 Conclusion...
What brought all of us together...
Was this little sweetheart...
"Ivy 'Lenora'"
(I got her middle name right this time...smile)

Ivy was blessed in the blessing gown that her
Great-Grandmother Day made for "Lillie"...
The darling little shoes she wore...were made for "Daisy"...
by her Aunt Annie Smith...
and to add something NEW...
Jessica made Ivy a darling little
"pink bracelet" to wear on this
special occasion!

Truly was a WONDERFUL few days!
