MISSOURI TRIP  - Part 4

29 March 2013

Part 2

One of the purposes of this day was to get in some target practice
and experience how to use a gun...properly...

Our instructor - Josh
Took each of the children - explained how the gun worked...
gave them some counsel...
and then...each of them did AWESOME!

 Checking out how Adam did...

 Emma did really good!

 Seth is a "natural"

Twins turn - with the help of Dad

Fran had her shot or two...

The Little man wanted to be with his Daddy

 Mama Holly had her turn..

Timothy was ready for a nap...and he found a good spot to start one...

 Granny's turn...

Just so you know...ALL my shots hit the main target...
except one...though, it at least hit the paper...
smile

 Oh...my word...this gun is LOUD!

 Rick's turn...

 His HAT flew off! smile

When we got home...Adam and I had a game of

"I Looked Out the Window and What Did I See?"

I LOVE NATURE!
Today, Father blessed me to be able to take pictures
from the INSIDE of our home...
my little neighbors...

This gorgeous Male Pheasant and his family...
Did you notice how ROUND and BIG this male bird is?
OH...then, there was this ONE of MANY Ground Squirrels...
basking in the sun in our pasture!
BOYS! put your guns AWAY!
(for now) smile

MISSOURI TRIP - Part 3

29 March 2013
Friday

PART 1

On this day, we all went to Josh/Holly's property that is located minutes from
Adam-ondi-ahman.  We spent a few hours there preparing for
Monday's campout - cutting wood and building our future
fire-pit.  Plus, it was a day that Josh wanted to teach and have his children experience
how to handle a firearm and have some TARGET practice...

Since I have 92 pictures taken on this day...
I will break this post down into
PARTS...so no one will have an excuse to doze
off looking at the pictures...
(smile)

UPON ARRIVAL - the CHILDREN had a blast RUNNING around
and experiencing EXPLORATION!
I had the FUN of taking LOTS
of pictures of this day's events!
(smile)

There is nothing like the FREEDOM
to RUN and EXPLORE...
especially for the
YOUTH!

The creek that runs through the property
was DRY - so off we went exploring
IN the CREEK BED...
It was fun hearing the kids get excited
over WHAT could be living in
this HOLE! (smile)

 Matthew

 Timothy

Deer Tracks - created excitement! (smile)

Adam following Timothy - who truly thought
he was on a "high adventure"!
(smile)

Adam and Emma noticing several WHITE HAIRS...
NO! NOT MINE! (smile)

Garvin, Holly, Esther and Josh found us
and joined in the fun!

Timothy trying to crawl up the embankment..

 Daddy Josh to the rescue...

All of us now on an exploration adventure!
It was my favorite spot on the property -
THE CREEK BED!

Daddy Josh - enjoying the exploration with his children!

 Papa Garvin

 Love this picture of Josh
with his buddy - Timothy

Rick Miller joined us...He brought his chain-saw...
As ALWAYS...was so very helpful to our family...
He was cut down dead trees and branches
to help us get our pile of wood ready
for our campout - which we began
AFTER the weekend was over...

Timothy showing me his "special" stick!

Seth enjoying nature in his own way...

Emma cutting some of the "briars" - while Michael was eyeing
the treats - and Timothy helping Daddy dig our future
campfire pit...

Matthew helping to haul the logs...

Adam - also, helping to haul up our campfire wood...

A MUST....to have on hand after an ADVENTURE and WORK...
SNACKS! (smile)

Nothing like a little hard work...
But, always so much more ENJOYABLE...
among FRIENDS AND FAMILY!
(smile)

We all had our duties to perform...

Fran came out and joined us after she was done with work...
Helping to feed darling Esther...

Holly had the MAJOR task of keeping all the little ones...
FED and HAPPY! (smile)

Michael and Emma - TIME OUT FOR SOME LUNCH!

Sometimes...there is MORE to CARRY OUT OF THE WOODS
other than...logs...(smile)

YOUTH is a matter of MIND!
GO RICK!!!!! and PAPA!

Our Little man - is all tuckered out!

Mama Holly was so good - trying to keep the little ones
under protection from the sun...

ALL VERY HAPPY that the WORK IS DONE...
and soon for some GREAT FUN!

STAY TUNED for PART 2
of this day...
