STATE FAIR - Idaho

One of my very FONDEST memories growing up...
was my Grandfather (Peterson) would take my brother, Steve,
and I to the California STATE FAIR! He would make us go through
all the BUILDINGS, before taking us to the MID-WAY
where all the RIDES were actively in motion...Of course, we hounded him from
building to building...that we wanted to go on the RIDES... Grandpa!!!
He never gave in...smile

This year, we went to the fair with Luke and Sarah with
all the grandchildren in tow...It was so fun watching THEM experience
much of what the fair had to offer...

On my camera, there were over 100 pictures taken...
I am going to break up the posts...into
activities...I deleted some pictures...but, will
post some of the best shots of the day...

Will begin with "Cuteness" first
Jackson

ANIMALS and SHOPS

 Jackson meets "Mr. Ed"

 Nothing like petting "soft" wool...

 Alayna - LOVED the animals

So many things to look at!

 Time for another "cuteness" picture!

It was so good to see Joseph having a good time

Trying to figure out HOW to get to where we wanted to go!

This was a rare type cow...had soft fur...

Garvin had to have the kids get in that bucket...

Got to love kids and kids...smile

 Our cute little Claira!

 Somehow...the little chick survived...

Alayna had so much fun feeding the animals...

 OK...time out...till the next set
of pictures are posted...

Time with My Dad

Sometime, I will write up my thoughts
of my Dad...and part of his history
as I know it...

Spent time...pondering
over my own life...what I was
like, then...and what I
am becoming...

Hard to believe...I had lived a completely
different life....once...

For now...this could be my last picture with my
Father...

Taken 30 August 2004
 Between 5:30 - 6:00
in the morning...

I couldn't decide which picture to post...

Girls Night Out - Celebrated Granddaughter's Birthday

I do believe it was a FIRST for me...
"Three" Generations...
went out to celebrate a BIRTHDAY...
a movie...
a little mall-jamming...
JUST PLAIN FUN!
It was Savannah's "10th" birthday...
Sarah (My daughter), Rose (daughter-in-law), took baby Adelaide (newest grandbaby), Savannah (granddaughter) and myself...
went to see "Maleficent" at the dollar theater...Savannah's choice...
Managed to eat very BUTTERY popcorn...and a bit of candy...
Afterwards, went to the mall...so that Savannah could
get her ears pierced...and Rose needed a couple of tops...
Went to "Barnes and Noble" to get Savannah her
FREE cupcake, because it was her birthday!

A very HAPPY new "10" Year Old
Savannah

What was nice for Savannah to see...is that
her Mama...knows how to be silly and have
FUN! GREAT MEMORY making day!

A SPECIAL THANK YOU...to
Garvin and Caleb...who watched all the
other children...so that this night
could be made possible!

Our Idaho Country Drive

Garvin and I decided that our "Date Night" would be an
afternoon and evening event. How we both needed it!

In our mini adventure...we discovered not only a
lake but, sand dunes to go with it...smile
We are so excited to one day... go with our
family...with Luke bringing his 4-wheeler along...
Luke...we so thought of you...when we discovered this place!

So, included, are pictures I took along the way...

Garvin had me take these first two pictures for Rick Miller.
He is evidently looking into building a dome-like home
in Missouri...So, Rick, we are providing an idea...

Managed to capture this HAWK...

These purple flowers were all along the
the ditch banks...

 A few does and bucks

Geese and a Mama duck with her little ones

Wild flowers

EGIN LAKE with
St. Anthony's Sand Dunes
in the background...
Can access the dunes
from the lake...

It was quite a WINDY DAY...as you can see the sand
flying off the dunes (upper pictures)...and the ripples in the
water...

St. Anthony, Idaho
I spied this small flower
garden along the road...just
before the freeway...
Garvin was patient with me...
and let me get out to take these
beautiful pictures...smile

I picture HEAVEN being alot like this...
filled with BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS...
EVERYWHERE! Sigh....

I want you to know...
I DID NOT mess with the COLORS of this
incredible SUNSET...
I was thrilled that my camera...as simple as it is...
managed to capture the GORGEOUS
setting of the sun...
It was a spectacular sight!

A perfect ending to a much
needed day of
exploring...
