Our Idaho Country Drive

Garvin and I decided that our "Date Night" would be an
afternoon and evening event. How we both needed it!

In our mini adventure...we discovered not only a
lake but, sand dunes to go with it...smile
We are so excited to one day... go with our
family...with Luke bringing his 4-wheeler along...
Luke...we so thought of you...when we discovered this place!

So, included, are pictures I took along the way...

Garvin had me take these first two pictures for Rick Miller.
He is evidently looking into building a dome-like home
in Missouri...So, Rick, we are providing an idea...

Managed to capture this HAWK...

These purple flowers were all along the
the ditch banks...

 A few does and bucks

Geese and a Mama duck with her little ones

Wild flowers

EGIN LAKE with
St. Anthony's Sand Dunes
in the background...
Can access the dunes
from the lake...

It was quite a WINDY DAY...as you can see the sand
flying off the dunes (upper pictures)...and the ripples in the
water...

St. Anthony, Idaho
I spied this small flower
garden along the road...just
before the freeway...
Garvin was patient with me...
and let me get out to take these
beautiful pictures...smile

I picture HEAVEN being alot like this...
filled with BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS...
EVERYWHERE! Sigh....

I want you to know...
I DID NOT mess with the COLORS of this
incredible SUNSET...
I was thrilled that my camera...as simple as it is...
managed to capture the GORGEOUS
setting of the sun...
It was a spectacular sight!

A perfect ending to a much
needed day of
exploring...

How We Treat Our Visitors...

Nothing like coming to visit us...
and end up being put to work...
smile

Fran LOVES to SERVE...so, she rolled up her sleeves,
so-to-speak...and became involved in helping us...
with getting our wood supply put up...

Garvin is gaining back his strength...
so, he is attempting to tackle
our wood supply...for the winter months...

 Arrgggg.....Why do my boys
make so many faces!

I had to smile how Garvin and Hyrum
had nearly the same facial expression
on their faces...smile

NOT easy pounding in posts on this land...
seems there are LOTS of ROCKS...
in the soil...Had to attempt a few times...
to get the posts in the ground...

I LOVE working in "comfortable" clothes...
Sandals work, too! smile

LOVE working together!

MY Heroes! George, Ben, and Abraham....

As most of you know...
I am a LOVER of American History...
Today...it thrilled me to IMAGINE
having taken pictures with
"3" of my heroes...

 Me and George Washington

 Me and Benjamin Franklin

Me and Abraham Lincoln

AH...one day...I will look forward to real conversations
with them...in the spirit world...We will have
MUCH to discuss...smile

Jackson Hole and Mini Reunion

What an incredible SUMMER...
We have had FAMILY and FRIENDS come visit us...
here in our new home...
Nobody seems to care that we are still fixing things up...
boxes in some areas...
rooms unfinished...

This past week...we have had TWO dear friends come
stay with us...Fran Miller, now living in MISSOURI...
and Bob Shepherd...from FLORIDA...

Today, we took Fran to Jackson Hole...in Wyoming...
She had never been there...so, we thought the
drive would be so fun...
Actually, the scenery is GORGEOUS!

Here is a sampling of our trip, today...

 Fran kissing this moose...for her
daughter, Becky...who LOVES MOOSES!
(plural for MOOSE?)

 Fran with her BROTHER...Bob

 Fran, Bob, and Garvin

Fran had to try sitting on a SADDLE
that was in place of a "stool" ...
smile

For YOU...Becky Richins!

Just Being Girls...

On extremely RARE occasions...an opportunity arrives...
where we... Grown-Up Women... get a moment to get away...
for some "time out"...
just to be silly "girls"...

With the help of Garvin and Rick Miller, who spent nearly "3" hours
watching all the little ones...Fran Miller, Rebekah, Sarah,
Jessica Roberts, Callie Wilson, and myself...
went out to lunch together...at Cafe Rio...
(MY FIRST TIME)

SO FUN...and the FOOD was TERRIFIC!

I had so much fun...capturing "moments"...
that simply..... DELIGHTED us!
smile

(L to R) Jessica, Rebekah, and Sarah

Jessica, Mama, and Fran

 SISTERS!
They certainly know how to entertain each other!
(and the rest of us!)
smile

Bekah and Sarah - rubbing off... onto
Cousin Callie! smile

Welcome to the family, Jessica!
You fit RIGHT in!
smile

Guess where their CHILDREN get all their
"silliness"?....smile
These TWO...are MOTHERS of "8" children...collectively...!
I must show all my grandchildren...
that their mothers are truly "human"...and KNOW how to
have FUN! smile

YES...! We had a GREAT TIME!
